
The film Day of the Dead: Bloodline is a second adaptation of the original George Romero film Day of the Dead from 1985. This series received excellent reviews, which doesn’t always happen when a movie crosses over into a series. One fun fact, Samara Weaving ( The Babysitter and Ready or Not), had a recurring role in the series.

This series stars Campbell, Lucy Lawless as Ruby, Ray Santiago as Ash’s sidekick Pablo and Dana DeLorenzo as Kelly, who is dragged into fighting evil with Ash and Pablo. But, after everything he endured in the first films, he always knew the dead would come back to haunt him. It seems Ash hasn’t done much in life since we last saw him in Army of Darkness. The series has three seasons and acts as a sequel to the original trilogy of films. Evil Dead is the series in the Evil Dead franchise that sees Bruce Campbell reprising his role as the hero Ash. It is a great horror flick that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Ash, who is our hero in the story, learns that the only way to kill the dead is by dismemberment. Then all hell breaks loose and evil reigns down on them in the form of the reanimated dead.

The group discovers the Necronomicon, a book that, when read aloud, awakes the dead. Ash (Bruce Campbell), along with his girlfriend and three friends, decide it would be fun to spend the night in a cabin in the woods. The film was initially released as Book of the Dead in 1981.
